Service Description

Playgroups are judged by temperament and size. Play groups are not a one size fits all and as such every dog will need to have an evaluation with Tabi's helper dog Mars before participating. Our goal is for proper play, matching play styles, naturally taking breaks, sharing around resources like water and treats, dog neutrality, as well as learning to co exisit without mangement while humans talk and "ignore" thier dogs, (we pretend). As well as be in an enviorment large enough for all dogs to have fun. Plenty of smells and squirrels! We aim for smaller group sizes and like to keep, you, the gaurdian engaged and learning. This is not a dog park, this is not a social get together, this is structred dog time designed for you and your canine to be successful and burn off some exercise.

A trainer or another client who is comfortable and confident in the space will lead the group. The back of the group is reserved for dogs who are struggling with reactivity issues and need more space or time while on our walks. All trainers present are positive reinforcement, force-free, trainers with similar ethics. I emphasize using high-value rewards, working at the dog's pace, and encouraging dogs to perform the behaviors you'd want to see rather than punishing them for the behaviors you don’t. Any trainer I've invited to these walks must follow the same ethics. We will try to do some group training before and after the walk depending on how many people arrive and the weather! We can work on Down's, Stay's, Polite Greetings & more. If you have something you'd like to work on while we wait for others to arrive just ask! The regular group walks are on weekends, the RSVP walks are on weekdays. These walks are led by Tabitha Coleman for clients I am working with or have worked with in the past. I would like to avoid any confusion when working with your dogs. If you would like to work with another trainer please do this on your own time outside of the group settings. Participation is at your own risk, we are out in the world at parks, on trails, sometimes near buildings. I can not control the outside world, I can only help manage it. Participating in these walks is voluntary and if you come, you understand you are liable for yourself and your dog(s). Free Events are subject to being cancelled at any time by Tabitha Coleman
